Sultan A. Salahuddin II

Lane 44, Ltd., Founding Partner and Board President Sultan A. Salahuddin II was raised on the south side of Chicago. He graduated from Chicago’s High School for Agricultural Sciences on Chicago’s far southwest side. Sultan then graduated from Alabama A&M University where he received his Bachelors and later a Master’s from the University of Louisville.

Sultan A. Salahuddin II, his brother Bashir Salahuddin and his writing partner Diallo Riddle wrote a show entitled, South Side for Comedy Central. In the Summer of 2018, filming of season 1 of the comedy series was completed. Sultan stars in the show, scheduled to be released on Viacom-owned, Comedy Central network in 2019.

Sultan is a member of the Writers Guild Association and the Screen Actors Guild and brings his professional experience to Lane 44 with humility. He feels it is his personal responsibility to raise the vibration of humanity through laughter. He believes if more kids were exposed to film and video, as he was as a child, a new camerman/woman, director, actor, writer or performer might find her/his calling early in life.

Debbie Holstein

Lane 44, Ltd., founding partner and Executive Director Debbie Holstein spent most of her childhood performing in theatrical productions, acting, singing and dancing. Dance was her passion for years and she trained and attended a performing arts high school as a dance major, later attending DePaul University for undergrad. After working in Corporate America for a stint, Debbie found her way back to the arts, moved to Los Angeles and re-built a career in television.

Debbie continued her education completing International MBA studies at UCLA/National University of Singapore where her focus was on international television. After a decade in LA, Debbie returned to Chicago where she earned a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from the Spertus Institute.
